XI'AN CLUBHOUSE
A Private Club in the heart, literally, of China; being situated at the ancient capital of the Middle Kingdom, Xi’an.
A Club that rises unabashedly from the ground like an anthropomorphic artefact, housing the patrons in a cocoon-like manner; and shielding them with a combination of distilled bamboo-like slats and unfussy lattices, faintly inspired by the screens that adorn many of the historical garden villas littered throughout the various parts of China. Essentially a glass box, with a series of faceted perforated screens that adorn the front; giving a contemporary form imbued with a culturally nuanced skin.
